I've seen some things going on that need to be addressed..things that both sicken me and test my patience.

First and for most, was a topic i just read.  The Pictures from the Cab topic has really pissed me off. A certain member of our forum has posted a picture of a cab taken from http://www.railpictures.net and passed it off has his own.  This will not be tolerated and action will be taken against that member.

Secondly, I understand everyone's desire to post pictures and share their railfan experiences, but PLEASE use some judgement.  Don't post shots that are poor quality, they just lead to problems.  I'm sick of having to babysit kids for making poor decisions on this forum and it's time for a clean up!

The most important thing is, moderators here are to HELP, if you have an issue, PM myself or any of the number of mods and discuss it instead of taking matters into your own hands.  I've tried a very hands off approach thinking all of y'all would be smart enough to be civil on your own.  Since that has not happened, expect a very heavy dose of moderation in order to keep things civil.

Again, if you have an issue..you are welcome to PM me..My "door" is always open, and am willing to help!

I agree, Kyle. It seems to me that some things have gotten out of hand lately, and it is time to put a stop to it.

While I agree with some things ,you say I would like to say something about the photos. NOT ALL of us can take fantascit shots kyle. I would suggest you let that slide everyone has his or her own abilitys to shoot. I would like that member to have a second chance, sure he has done things to make you un happy but I would like to see a second chance,he is a beginer . I for one if this pollicy includes no poor pictures I will not be posting any more unless that is lifted.

Just because he does not have the ability to take good shots does not mean that he can go and STEAL yes STEAL a picture from someone else. What really disturbed me is he took the COPYRIGHT right off the picture. This is inappropriate behavior if the guy knew about it he would be in a lot of trouble. So next time think before you ever do that again. Kyle I agree with you a 100%.

Posting pictures that leave no real clue as to the subject matter is pointless...it's caused issues on every forum..always has...If you saw my memory card on my camera, you'd know i post maybe 10% of everything i shoot, because i use judgement.  Why post things and have people wondering "what the hell is that?"

Furthermore, Todd, if you read my complete post, you'd also see that i asked all issues be PMed, that way things can be taken care of outside of the forum and not risk dragging everyone thru the mud.

Copyright infringment..whether intentional or not, does not sit well w/ me, nor does it sit well w/ a large majority of the community.  It should not, and will not go unaddressed.  If I were to allow this to slide..then it would set a very BAD precedent, and that's something we all do not want.

Sorry but i will stand firm on this issue.  If you feel that i'm being too harsh..PM me..i will gladly step away from my moderating duties!

While i may be coming off as brash and unreasonable..something needs to be done..

Being a moderator, you take on certain responsibilities.  If you can't handle those, and help this place stay civil and help members w/ issues, you don't need to be a moderator.  Apparenly I'm the only person here that feels that way!

At this time, I am not sure if anyone of the moderator team can give you moderating duties. I think the only person that has that ability is Tom and I havent heard from Tom for 4 weeks now. I am hoping he is OK.

As for the problems on this forum. Kyle is right when he stated that he cant be around 24/7. None of the moderator team can be here 24/7.

We (the moderator team of this forum) just ask that you try a little better judgment, So there is no trouble in this forum. We would like to run this forum as smooth as possible without any problems coming up.

Like Kyle stated, If you have a problem that needs to be discussed. Please feel free to PM one of the moderators on this forum, So it can be dealt with appropriately.

Thank you.

As stated before, Tom is busy with other things in life at the moment, which is why there is a team of moderators to keep the forum running smoothly.

Well, we all think it's time for a major cleanup here with the mess happened lately! We will see what happens in the next few days. I will talk to my moderators in the next few days and we will see what action will be required...

Think at this time we can handle this without any additional moderators. Five mods should be okay for that amount of members I think. But anyway, thanks for your interest.  ;)
